About Margo

Margo's journey to founding Nourished Boston began with her own health challenges. For years, Margo worked as a lawyer and law professor, advocating for individuals impacted by intimate partner violence. Her long-standing interest in health and wellness became one of her primary professional areas of focus after a series of significant health events.

Margo tested positive for the BRCA gene a month before she turned 40. To reduce her risk of breast and ovarian cancers, she made the proactive choice to undergo a double mastectomy and have her ovaries removed. This surgery abruptly ended her body's natural production of estrogen.

Margo battled extreme fatigue, constant stomach discomfort, and widespread muscle pain. Frustrated by the lack of clear, holistic information, she sought support from a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Kristin Mihaly. Kristin will continue as Margo’s mentor as she starts Nourished Boston. Through this partnership and persistent self-advocacy with her doctors, she finally began to feel better. This experience ignited a passion to not only share what she learned but also to help others navigate similar health journeys.

This is why she created Nourished Boston. Her goal is to ensure that others have the nutritional and lifestyle support they need as they face new phases of life, from surgery and medical diagnoses to everyday wellness.

Margo’s Philosophy

Margo believes in the powerful synergy of science and ancient wisdom.

She sees modern medicine as life-saving, and even more effective when it is combined with the foundational power of nutrition, blood sugar regulation, restful sleep, stress management, and intentional movement. These choices are the cornerstone of feeling truly incredible.

With a busy schedule as a business owner and mother, Margo knows firsthand the challenges of finding time. Her focus is on creating delicious, healthy, and easy recipes that are big on flavor and impact.

A graduate of Wellesley College and Northeastern University School of Law, Margo resides in a pink house in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with her husband and three daughters.
